Mood-spoilers ~ Me
There exists a popular compound word mood-spoiler which is just a situational synonym of the pronoun ME. I’ll explain why in a brief way.
We come across various actions, words and events every single minute. But not all of them affect our mood. Why? It’s because we perceive things as we want them to be. Most of the things around us are not being perceived in the way it was meant to be. We have to blame ourselves for spoiling our mood, cuz it’s only us who have perceived it in a way which is not healthy for our mind. Even a word or action which was meant to spoil our mood, can go powerless if we choose to perceive it in a happier way. It’s all our mind’s game. Try perceiving things in a positive way, and then you’ll never use the word mood-spoiler anywhere.
This was a realisation I had this week when I was arguing with my friend over something and ended up realising that I haven’t taken it in the way it was meant to be. Petty fights does happen🌝❣️.
Thanks for reading!
Perception and sensation are my favourite topics in Psychology. Nicely worded with enough clarity and simplicity. 🙂👏
(Feeling pity for the poor friend)
